Could be used more, but staff only wants to use the place for Special Olympics. Every time I've gone in, not much going on. Would love it if they brought back open play Pickleball. They definitely have the space for it.

I've been participating with Pierce County Parks for Special Olympics for 2.5 years (been with Special Olympics since January 2010) after seeing multiple Facebook posts and this place has enough room for a total of 2-4 teams to compete. Another cool thing about Lakewood Community Center is that it has a trail next to it. If you or someone you know would like to join Pierce County Parks, I would 100% recommend it because they've treated me so much better.
